Finaly B33 The
Horse head nebulare. LX200 8" - F3.3- Ha 30x4min taken with
DSI-PRO. Astronomik Ha filter. Autoguided with DSI-Color.

March 19th (2007 ) One year no updates.. The weather and
moving to an other town put my astro hobby on a hold for a while. But I got a nice update for the Dutch
visitors ! I made
a light pollution
overlay map for Google Earth from a map I found on the
internet. You can download it from my site be aware it’s kind of large.
( you need Google earth to use this image )
Januari 15th B33 the
horsehead nebular. Finaly I got it. This was the one that pushed my
intressed in astronomy when I was a child.
I've started a new gallery location. It's still work in progress but you
can already check
it out here !
Nov24th 1st price winner in the First Annualy DSi contest !
It got me totally by suprise but today I recieved a mail that I had won the
1st price in the First Annualy DSi contest with my LRGB M27 image!.. My first reaction was
"Yes.. sure.. SPAM..Delete.. but when I checked the site an contacted Anacortes Telescope they told me I really won a $225 Ha filter !! Woow!!
Oct 10th My
latest Images. The Cocoon nebular. Taken with the DSI-Pro. It's a combination
of a Ha a green and blue images. NGC891 Luminance only. And M27 in
5x4min Ha. Autoguiding with the DSI-Color was very good this time !
You can find them in the Lx200 images gallery
Sept 2th Ok, it
has been a while since my last update. A lot of new goodies are added to my
equipment. Let me give you my first result after the summerbreak taken with
these new astro goodies: M27
!
What's new to my equipment you ask ? here's the list:
DSI-PRO CCD camera
Astronomik LRGB filter set
Astronomik Ha 4nm Filter
Astronomik ( gerd Neuman ) Filter drawer.
Meade SuperWedge !
Mitty Superwedge Slow-mo set.
3D counter Weight set for a perfect balance
Meade F6.6 Focal reducer.
The Book: "The New CCD Astronomy"
The DSI-pro (B/W) is a more sensitive camera than my DSI-C.
My DSI-C is gonna be a dedicated autoguider.
With the Astronomik LRGB filters I'm able to get color and have beter
controle over the after image processing. I was able to get this set used
together with the Gerd Neuman Filterdrawer.
I bought the Superwedge used at www.astromart.com
for a good price and got it ship from the US within 9 weeks..
After reading some good reviews about the Mitty Superwedge slow-mo
upgrade kit I desided to get that right away. And because it is essential
to have a good balanced setup for succesfull autoguiding I looked for and
found a used weigth system for my lx200. I borrowed the
book "The New CCD Astronomy"
from a friend, and because this is a must have if you want to get the best
out of you images I ordered one to..
Well.. a lot of "hardware" but the first result (
M27) gives me the feeling it is well spent !
